The other tablerunner

Last post I did say I had sewn two table-runners since I am now able to get up and around on my crutches!
As it is October, the other table-runner is Halloween themed! I had a lot of fun with this one, but I must credit the very talented Jody at Pleasant Home for the inspiration .  Her blog is so cool, and 'yes' there are many great blogs out there but I love her sense of fun!
Here is my version of the Pleasant Home Halloween whirlygig runner:
As you can see I've chosen a Halloween palette of color; also most of this fabric came from RJR fabrics (2007), the prints are so cute. The designs remind me of candy wrappers.
I must send pictures to Jody at Pleasant Home,  I wanted her to see the prairie points that I now feel compelled to add to all my sewing projects! I had the same problem a few months ago when I saw a sweet application of fabric 'yo-yos' on a handbag.  I couldn't stop making yo-yos! It was fun.
This runner is very long, almost 84 inches, which is well...long. But that said I still have a stack of these whirly-gig blocks that I haven't used ;  I foresee a whirly-gig  quilt in my future I think.  Once I started making them I had a hard time stopping - they are  addicting.

Happy Halloween

Love, love, love the runner! I may follow your example and use the same pattern for the fabric you gave me . . . now if I could just find the fime (I don't really want to break my ankle).

I have to say, darlene, this is the first piece of Hallowe'en decor that I can say I REALLY like - I love fall decor but hallow'en ahs always seemed too campy for me. This is great - maybe it is the Prairie feel. You really are an exceptional fabric artist. Love V.
