Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day.

To celebrate & observe this day I have posted a few pictures of my own dear mom; I think it may be worth noting that I really had to look through many folders before finding a picture of her with some of her children.... Do you know what I mean? 

Sure there are lovely snapshots of her and my father when they were young & newly married or new parents, but after the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th child..... well my Mom seemed to disappear from the front of the camera..... Perhaps you have noticed the same phenomenon when you look through your own family albums. I can see dozens of pictures of myself with my siblings, cousins, aunts & uncles but I can't find my mother in any photograph!  I know she was there..... of course she was there... she was behind the camera.

Luckily, I did find this picture, from the 1970's.  My mom is peaking around the corner to the left.  

This photo was taken during the 1990's when my parents traveled to Ontario to visit family.

This photo is of my mother when she was a little girl during early 1940's, taken in Ontario where she lived.
