Mini Salvage Scrap Project

I just love this!  I saw it today on Flickr, and immediately put it on my To-Do list. That is how To-Do lists get so long.

I made a small quilt last year using this block;  my spools were all from scraps of fabrics. This example uses salvage edges of quilting fabrics!  I love the idea of the 'spool pattern' being used so creatively. I especially like the buttons added to this block.

These are some of the blocks I made last year.  Very fun.
